What People Are Saying About War in Iran

America’s war with Iran has impacted neighboring countries in the Middle East, too.

President Donald Trump campaigned on no new wars.

He said that “Make America Great Again” was about putting America first.

However, America and Israel’s preemptive strike on Iran, along with the conflicting reasons behind the strikes, have caused some MAGA supporters to question President Trump and his broken campaign promises.

Former supporters like Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) and media personality Candace Owens have called out Trump and his foreign policies.

But Americans are not the only ones speaking about the conflict in Iran.

Therefore, RegalMag.com scoured print and online media to see what leaders are saying about this conflict.

“Pakistan stands with the Iranian nation in this moment of grief and shares in their loss.”—Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari

“Following the martyrdom of Ayatollah Khamenei, every citizen of Pakistan shares in the grief of the people of Iran” (while urging the citizens of Pakistan not to take matters into their own hands)—Pakistan Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi

“We pray for the full recovery of the wounded and send our immense love and eternal gratitude to the families of the fallen. And sadly, there will likely be more before it ends. That’s the way it is. Likely be more, but we’ll do everything possible where that won’t be the case.”—President Donald Truth via Truth Social on American casualties during the conflict with Iran.

[The conflict could last] four weeks or so.”—President Donald Trump to the Daily Mail.

“The lives of courageous American heroes may be lost, and we may have casualties. That often happens in war. But we’re doing this not for now. We’re doing this for the future.”—President Donald Trump via a video address.

“No tears will be shed over their leadership being eliminated, but always the question is: O.K., what next?”—Sen. Mark Warren (D-Va.)

“We said ‘No More Foreign Wars, No More Regime Change!’ We said it on rally stage after rally stage, speech after speech. There are 93 million people in Iran, let them liberate themselves. But Iran is on the verge of nuclear weapons. Yeah sure. We have been spoon fed that line for decades and Trump told us all that his bombing this past summer completely wiped it all out. It’s always a lie and it’s always America Last.”—Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga) via social media.

“I am opposed to this War. This is not ‘America First.’ When Congress reconvenes, I will work with @RepRoKhanna to force a Congressional vote on war with Iran. The Constitution requires a vote, and your Representative needs to be on record as opposing or supporting this war.”—Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.)

“We will never forget that they MURDERED Charlie Kirk for this war and he knew they were going to do it. He spent his final days mentally anguished, texting the very people who would ultimately betray him. In honor of Charlie, I STAND AGAINST ISRAEL.”—media personality Candace Owens via social media.

“I guess the worst case would be to do this, and then somebody takes over who’s as bad as the previous person, right? That could happen. We don’t want that to happen.”—President Donald Trump on who he wants to take over the Iranian government.

“Since midnight, I and my wife are hearing sound of explosion.”–Ali Amoli, an engineer living in Tehran.

“The U.S. Embassy is not in a position at this time to evacuate or directly assist Americans in departing Israel.”—U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee via social media, also adding that information regarding bus services being offered is a courtesy, urging people to “make your own security plans.”

“If Americans are being instructed to leave but are given no viable pathway, that suggests one of two things: The system is not being activated, or the system has atrophied.”—Shawn VanDiver, president of AfghanEvac, a company that assists Afghan nationals attempting to come to the United States after serving with the United States military in Afghanistan.

“Trump promised to end wars. He’s now started more wars than any president in modern American history. Instead of affordable healthcare and groceries, the American people get to foot the billion-dollar tabs for Trump’s foreign wars of choice.”—Democrats on the House Foreign Affairs Committee via X.

“Look, whether polling is low or not, I think the polling is probably fine. But it’s not a question of polling. You cannot let Iran, who’s a nation that has been run by crazy people, have a nuclear weapon. I think people are very impressed with what’s happening, actually…I think it’s a silent—if you did a real poll, the silent poll—and it’s like a silent majority.”—President Donald Trump on polls suggesting that most Americans disagree with his decision to attack Iran.

“This is not a ground operation. This is a tactical measure…to ensure the safety of our people.”—Military spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Nadav Shoshani. He added, “We have positioned soldiers on the border area in additional points to defend our civilians, to prevent Hezbollah from attacking them.”

“Due to ongoing regional tensions, the US Embassy in Kuwait will be closed until further notice. We have cancelled all regular and emergency consular appointments.”—the embassy in a statement on social media.

“The United States Munitions Stockpiles have, at the medium and upper medium grade, never been higher or better…At the highest end, we have a good supply, but are not where we want to be. Much additional high grade weaponry is stored for us in outlying counties.”—President Donald via Truth Social.

“No president has the right to drag the nation into war like this alone. The American people deserve a voice. Congress must return immediately to vote on this war.”—Sen. Raphael Warnock (D-Ga.)
