Watching the evening news in 2014 mirrors watching the news in the 1960s.

People are “sick and tired of being sick and tired” like Fannie Lou Hamer once said, and they are taking to the streets to protest injustice and police brutality across this nation.

African-Americans owe much of their protest history to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. who risked his freedom and health to lead several marches like the famous march from Selma, Ala. to Montgomery, Ala. in 1965.

For the first 100 readers in Houston, RegalMag.com is offering free admit-two tickets to an advance screening of “Selma” starring David Oyelowo as King and Carmen Ejogo as Coretta Scott King.

The film, directed by Ava DuVernay, is the perfect way to celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day and honor the 50th anniversary of the Voting Rights of 1965.

The screening of “Selma” will take place in Houston on Jan. 6, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. at the Studio Movie Grill CityCentre.  To download free tickets, click here and use the promo code RegalMag100.
