Red is one of the must-have colors for Fall 2017/Winter male fashion.
Stay ‘Clean’ During Cold Months: Winter 2018 Fashion Trends for Men
Yes, we know that we are late with our overview of fashion trends for men for the fall and winter, but it is never too late to look good.
Furthermore, for Winter 2018 what is old is new again, so fellas just have to dig way back into their closets and dust off things from yesteryear to look trendy today.
The male fashion trends for Winter 2018 consist of everything from tracksuits of the 1980s and 1990s to the classic business suits of the 1980s.
Leather trousers are an item to have. Just make sure you do not wear it during the summer so you will not get clowned like Mykelti Williamson’s character in “Waiting to Exhale.”
Colors like moss green, off white, red and sunrise orange should be a part of your wardrobe, while accessorizing with fur coats and Louis Vuitton man bags will set men apart this season.
An additional accessory to have this season is the soccer fan scarf.
While there are many new trends for the cold months, we have decided to focus on six of the many trends in male fashion for Winter 2018.
Padded Jackets—Padded jackets are a must have for men this season. Honestly, any kind of comfort wear is in style this season. But if you only buy one comfort wear item, make sure it is the padded jacket with an emphasis on proportion and oversized shapes.
Business dress—Every man should have a classic black and navy blue suit in his wardrobe. And while business dress is in style this season, it never has gone out of style. Extra large shirts and long patterned satin neckties and non-skinny pants are a requirement for your suits this season.
Reds—The color red has never been so prominently featured on the runway as it was for the Fall 2017/Winter 2018 fashion shows. From oversized red sweaters to red suits, the color was everywhere during fashion week.
Beret—The late pop icon, Prince once sang about a beautiful woman wearing a raspberry beret. However, the beret is the new headwear of choice for men for the fall and winter. The beret was everywhere from Paris to Milan to Russia, and fashion labels like Prada, Dolce and Gabbana and Moschino are hoping that the beret makes it to the streets of the United States.
Fur coats—PETA will be mad, but fur coats for men are one of the must have accessories for Fall 2017 and Winter 2018. Although we love the late, great rapper, Pimp C, do not rock the fur coat like Pimp C without a shirt and big belly exposed. The only person that can get away with that now is rapper, Rick Ross. Furthermore, the days of long fur coats are a thing of the past, replaced by close-cropped fur coats.
Tracksuits—Do you remember the way Kool Moe Dee looked on his “How Ya Like Me Now” album cover with his British Knights (BK) suit? Well, if you have one or a similar one by Nike, Adidas or Fila, go find it in the back of your closet or at your mother’s house and hope that you did not gain too much weight since the 1980s and 1990s.
