Don’t Fall for the Okey-Doke

There’s something about fall fashion that gets many excited.

Sure, the spring and summer months allow one to experiment with bright colors but the fall months allow one even more room to experiment.

From different fabrics to overcoats and boots, the fall season allows men to display their fashion sense on a whole different level.

For Fall 2015, some standard classics are back in style.

However, some trends are completely new to the male fashion game for better or worse.

Below are some fashion rules for Fall 2015 and despite what designers like Tom Ford tell you, masculinity is still the name of the game.

Male skirts, popularized by actors like Jaden Smith, will hopefully soon fade into oblivion and you will be glad you didn’t jump on that bandwagon.

In a month in which “Straight Outta Compton” is taking over the pop culture discussion, just remember to keep it classic like Dr. Dre in the “Been There Done That” video, not Dr. Dre during his World Class Wreckin’ Cru days and you’ll be A-OK!

Designers are really pushing gender neutral/feminine looks from elongated cuffs to drapey tunics, but take our advice and stay away from anything that resembles a skirt or blouse.

Turtleneck sweaters are back so dig into your closet and find that old sweater from back in the day if you’ve even stopped wearing it.

Overcoats are a necessity especially leopard prints.

Make sure to rock your business suit with a pin or lapel flower.

Fur coats are back.  Late rapper Pimp C would be so proud (see UGK’s “International Players Anthem” video).

Various shades of the color green will have your haters green with envy.

Suede jackets are in style but make sure they are cropped at the waist.

Oversized cardigans are a must-have item.

Pinstripes on suits are out, and thicker chalk stripes are in.
