Ladies you may not get it, but getting your man the right video games for Christmas will earn you brownie points for an entire year.

No matter how old we are, we love playing video games and if you get us the correct ones, you will own us.

If you want the grass cut; if you want the gutters cleaned; or if you want your car washed, you probably will not even have to ask us to do it in the first place if you get the games we ask for.

Therefore, we have provided you with a list of the top 10 video games for the 2014 Christmas season.


Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare – The blockbuster first person shooter franchise takes us back to the future with robotic exo-skeletons, drone-swarms and Kevin Spacey. Action-packed entertainment of the highest order.

 

Smash Brothers WiiU – If you have a WiiU, gather round your nearest and dearest and spend the holidays beating the living stuffing out of them as Mario, Donkey Kong, Sonic and a host of guest characters prepare to fight in the return of this Nintendo classic.

 

Grand Theft Auto V – Last year's biggest and best game is back on the new generation of consoles with improved visuals, new activities and modes and a brand new first person mode putting you right in the middle of the action. 

 

Sunset Overdrive – An Xbox One exclusive that shouldn't be missed. In the near future an evil energy drink has turned everyone into hideous mutant freaks. Strap on your explosive teddy-bear rocket launcher, it's time for mayhem.

 

Shadow of Mordor – If you can't wait until the holiday release of the latest Hobbit movie, take a trip to Mordor in this wonderful action adventure game putting you in the shoes of a ghostly ranger taking down the Orc horde.

 

Far Cry 4 – Mountains, guns, gyrocopters and weaponized elephants. This open world action game gives you free reign to cause as much mayhem as possible, in any way you choose.
